The love between Rumi, a poet and mystic from 13th century Persia, and his Sufi master Shams of Tabriz changed Rumi's outlook to life. Since shams is the Arabic word for sun, Rumi used imagery of the sun to express his feelings for the man.
Drawing inspiration from Rumi's life, we crafted these Citrine earrings, ring and pendant to reflect the intense feelings, often difficult to describe, between them. This set is our humble tribute to the Master and his everlasting love:
Mounted in 18K yellow gold, this bold statement ring weighs 8.01 grams. The ring has a rectangular panel in the centre in which is set an octagon-shaped citrine [or honey quartz] weighing approximately 4.31 carat. This is framed by black meena [enamel] work and pave set 0.46 carat natural diamonds in four corners.
