Looking after your jewels

Diamond and natural stones require a level of care, unlike plain metal jewellery which can be worn during rough work. Strong and harsh chemicals, cleaning products, sharp blows, extreme temperatures and outdoor and rough work such as gardening, renovating, dish-washing, sports, may damage or discolour the jewellery.

Avoid wearing or removing jewellery near kitchen sinks and in bathrooms and preferably remove jewellery before taking a shower, going for a swim, working-out or washing utensils.

You should clean your stone-studded jewellery regularly with a really soft cloth (for example flannel), giving it a gentle rub to remove deposited oils, dust and salts.

Additionally and once a month, using a soft-bristles toothbrush with a drop of shampoo, moisten with warm water and gently rub the stone (preferably from the interior side) to give it a good shine. You can also leave the ring in a solution of warm water and shampoo for 30-60 minutes, then gently scrub with a soft brush before wearing it again.

It is recommended that you take your precious stone-studded jewellery to a local jeweller at least once a year for maintenance. The jeweller will check the stone setting (because of wear and tear, stone settings often become loose) and will professionally clean the jewellery. You may also get the metal re-polished in case there has been significant wear and tear.

Reach out to us in case you have specific questions or need care instructions about your purchase/s.
